From the Hilo Airport, turn left on Highway 11.
One half mile past the 13 mile marker is a 45 mph sign and a green state sign, "Kulani 17."
Turn left.

(From Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, drive down the hill on Highway 11 to Mountain View.
Turn right at the Kulani Road sign and follow the directions below.)

Travel down the hill about a mile to the end of the road.
Turn right at the stop sign on Puhala Street, into Fern Acres subdivision, and drive to the end of the street (1� miles).
Turn left on Pikake Street. We are 11 power poles on the right, behind the eight foot stone wall.

If you are driving at night, look for small yellow reflectors on the telephone poles, at the intersection of Kulani & Puhala St. where the subdivision signs are, the poles are marked right to our door. At Pikake Street, there are 4 large reflectors in a row. Turn left. We are 11 poles up the road with 5 reflectors in a row.
