Volcano Inn: Pineapple Park
Located in Mountain View, Pineapple Park Volcano inn is are quiet secluded accommodations in the rain forest. It is excellent for getting away or for workshop retreats. Our Volcano inn is just fifteen minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and 20 minutes to downtown Hilo, the second-largest city in Hawaii and home of the annual Merrie Monarch Hula Competition. Perfectly located to explore the East side of the island, it is 50 minutes to Punululu the black sands beach near South Point, and is just 40 minutes to the Puna district and the Hot Pond. Walk across a crater and through a hollow lava tube. Watch Goddess Pele let off steam. See ancient petroglyphs carved into lava rock and much more!

Our 12,000 square-foot facility, surrounded by a young rainforest, is ideal for retreats and get-away Hawaii vacations. Our inn can accommodate groups of 65 people with a large kitchen and a 8 x 10 walking ice box. We have hosted groups from UCLA Berkeley, Chicago, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Syracuse New York, and U.H. Manoa Hawaii and many others. You may call any of these universities Geology departments and enquire about our facilities; this is a top notch place for individuals or groups to stay while working or visiting the Hawaii Volcano National Park.


Rooms are cozy and comfortable with reasonable rates of $85 for a room with private bath. A bunk in the six-bunk dorm is $25. The guests really enjoy the community kitchen and being able to cook their own heated food and keep it in the big commercial refrigerator.
